Angel Blanco: BVAL Champion
In early February, Westmont High School’s very own Angel Blanco placed first at the Blossom Valley Athletic League (BVAL) Wrestling tournament for his respective weight class and advanced to the CCS Championships. Angel, who’s record for the season is a staggering 18 wins and 5 losses, won his first two matches of the day by pin within the first two minutes. He then went on to win his semi-finals match, once again by pin, in the second round. In the finals, Angel faced off against Jose Guerro of Gilroy, and won by major decision, with a score of 10-2. Congrats!
