Last season, the boys earned the title of BVAL league champions. This season, both girls and boys are excited to compete for the same title. With Coach Paul, Coach Ron, and Coach Jason leading the way, this season has the potential to be a successful, record-breaking season. 

Coach Ron Ernst excitedly states, “I am excited for the potential of this team to perform at CCS and league finals.” He further adds, “And of course, I always love working with the youth.” Keep reading to hear what your amazing track peers are excited for this season! 

Sovin Herzlinger, a senior track runner and pole vaulter at Westmont, emphasizes that he is “most excited for invitationals.” Matthew Taylor, a sophomore pole vaulter and jumper, exclaims that he is most excited for, “pole vault in CCS and just CCS in general.” Zach Irwin, a senior long distance runner, says, “I am looking forward to having a great final high school season.” Blake DaQuino, a pole vaulter, jumper, and thrower says that he is excited for this season and specifically, “wants to qualify for Arcadia.” Chloe Palafox, a junior long distance runner, looks to  “to become a better runner and to be more in shape” throughout this season. Kiarra D’Arcangelo, another junior sprinter and long distance runner, confidently states that she is “excited for competition in this competitive league” Alex Gryciuk, a senior long distance runner, also states how she is excited to compete. “I feel that it’s rewarding to see all your training improve your times. Track is really a mental game and it’s really rewarding to see your hard work pay off with improved times.”
