Students for Hospitals

By Anna Hanuska

Despite the uncertainty and stress surrounding the pandemic, several Westmont students found a way to help our community. Inspired by his mom’s struggles as a nurse at the beginning of the pandemic, 2020 Westmont graduate Daniel Lan founded Students for Hospitals to relieve the PPE shortage and protect health care workers like his mother. Featured by Business Insider and the Awesome Foundation, Students for Hospitals has made 3,412 face shields so far to deliver to hospitals and clinics in need. Students for Hospitals relies on grants and donations to buy materials, so any contribution is appreciated. To donate or find more information, visit http://students4hospitals.org
