- Don’t beat yourself up for procrastinating. Everyone procrastinates, just try to improve your study habits by writing your assignments in a planner or breaking them up into more manageable chunks.
- Quizlet is your best friend. You can make your own quizlets of vocabulary words you need to learn, and there are lots of existing ones for certain teachers’ vocab sets.
- Tab your books. Use sticky notes to label any allusions, extreme tone changes, important events, or dramatic statements. Having color-coded tabs allows you to find evidence for essays or in-class discussions more easily.
- Get as much sleep as you can. A few late assignments are easier to recover from than having to piece together the lectures you’ll miss when you zone out from exhaustion.
