What is your favorite band?
So many to mention, however, the one band that has had my heart since the beginning is Iron Maiden. I have seen them more times than I can count all over the world. I will be seeing them in Germany over the summer.

What is the best show/concert you have ever been to?
The two that stand out are Iron Maiden in 2018 in Prague (Czech Republic) and Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) in 2006 doing the entire Dark Side of the Moon record.

Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden) ,Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Alex Van Halen (Van Halen)
What instruments do you play?
I started off on guitar about 32 years ago. I did that for a while in a few local bands. Around 2005 I sold everything I had guitar related and bought a drum set and just focussed on drums.
I heard you are in a band yourself, what is the name of your band?
I am currently in three bands. I have been a local musician here in the Bay Area for almost 30 years. Currently I am in a punk band called Drown the Rat, an alternative rock band called Sagaba and a metal band called Reptilian Arms.
Have you guys played live?
Yes! Between the three bands, I play out locally 2-3 times a month.
If so, how many times? And what is your favorite venue to play at?
My first live gig ever was at the Leigh High Talent show in 1994. Since then I have played around 300 (best guess) live gigs all up and down California and Nevada. I don’t really have a favorite place per se, however, any venue that provides a decent sound system and treats local bands fairly is a-okay in my book.
Anything else you would like to add about your music?
I will say this…at this point in my life my goal as a musician isn’t to get signed to a major label and tour the world, rather it is to create ART that I am proud of with my friends and present that art via a live performance or a recording. I am fortunate as an educator to be able to have a good career and work with awesome teenagers all day then go and make art with my friends.
