When the shipwreck collapses
And hope’s eulogy passes
When patience gives way to isolation;
The grief that comes with
You bottle it up
Put it out to sea.
Survivors keep quiet
What’s to say that hasn’t been said?
Contemplating, debating what could’ve been.
Smile because the sun rises,
Keep waking with it too.
Smiles complete proper guises,
You want to see them smiling back at you.
The others, the ones you lift up
The ones you love with all your heart
They await your return
From your place of solitude.
Storms crush your shelter
Wash your ship ashore
Lift up your oar
Push away until you see,
Be it near or far,
The tall trees
And glowing lights
Of a land without a name
