By Mia Hanuska
sometimes i sit and wonder
if you’re there up above,
watching me make blunder after blunder
grimacing at my choices, but with love
do you remember those last minutes
when i soaked your dress,
my emotions finally reaching their limits
as you held me in a tight caress
sometimes i sit and contemplate
if you would be proud of what i’ve done so far
or do you already know my fate
and are simply watching as i miss par
do you wish i did more
visited, texted, prayed
or do you forgive me for the things i didn’t do before
the things i didn’t do because i didn’t think you’d ever fade
sometimes i sit and think
if you could say anything to me today
how you’d make sure it isn’t a moment i blink
and if you’d tell me “i love you, always.”
