In typical robotics kid behavior, I can often be found at a desk slouched over my computer, staring into the enticing glare of blue light. With our season kicking off and my already neglected homework piling up, it’s not surprising that I rarely go outside. And I promise this is not because I’m allergic to nature or that I’m addicted to CAD-ing a robot at all hours of the day, really, I swear! But with my senior year beginning to end, I’ve grown accustomed to daydreaming about life outside of glorious Westmont High School, the most frequent one being going outside and tasting the freedom that comes with not having to think about pocketing sheet metal and how frictional belts are.
With all this in mind (and my Pinterest board filled to the brim with glittering lakes and snowcapped mountains), the top priority on my bucket list is to get out of my room. Listed below are some of the many places I wish to go in order to escape the shackles of my desk of doom.
1. Yosemite during Christmas
2. Catalina Island
3. Backpacking in Point Reyes
4. Vatnajökull National Park
5. The places in Frankenstein
6. Farms in Ireland
7. Fjords in Norway
8. Night markets in Singapore
9. Alaska
10. El Camino de Santiago in Spain/Portugal
11. Walk the Great Wall of China
12. Ski everywhere!!!
