Last year, the Westmont Boys Water Polo team finished third overall in the league, a record for the team, and the first CCS berth in program history. This year, the Westmont Boys Water Polo team has been on a roll. They lead their league with wins against Prospect, Lincoln, and Ann Sobrato, and Westmont appears ready to move on to the Central Coast Section playoffs. Led by Ariel Shevachman, who averages 7 goals per game, Westmont holds a 10-5 overall record. With a strong defense, they are only allowing an average of 7.8 goals per game. The team’s efforts have put Westmont in a favorable position. With the BVAL tournament approaching, Westmont aims to secure a top-four spot in the league.
