- Reeses – Any sort of Reeses is undoubtedly the best candy to get on halloween (unless you’re allergic to peanuts). The perfect ratio of chocolate and filling every time!
- Crunch Bars – A close second, but Crunch Bars just don’t have the same nostalgia as Reese’s Pieces. They are delicious and the flavor is well balanced—overall a top choice.
- Pop Rocks– These little firecrackers are so fun to eat and bring me back to my younger days. The assortment of flavors makes eating each pack an adventure.
- Yorks – Although the minty flavor isn’t for everyone. Yorks taste so refreshing and the mint filling balances out the sweet chocolate shell.
- Skittles – Skittles are a staple Halloween candy, but they just aren’t super special. All the flavors taste the same; they are never the best thing in the candy bag.
- M&Ms – Another basic Halloween candy. There is nothing bad about M&Ms but also nothing amazing about them–a mid tier choice.
- Nerds (including gummy clusters) – The nerds you get on Halloween are always super stale and impossible to chew. They are never very appetizing and just don’t compare to the other candies.
- Gummy Candy – Usually gummies are delicious but on Halloween the ones that get dropped in children’s bags are either melted or hard as a rock. These candies forever live at the bottom of the bag.
- Milk Duds – Does anyone even like these? Milk Duds only ever appear on Halloween with their jaw breaking abilities and yucky taste.
- Candy Corns – Anyone who says they like candy corns must be lying. These horrible candies are pure sugar and food coloring with a disgusting aftertaste.
