Launching into her fourth and final year on Westmont’s Varsity Volleyball team, co-captain Audrey Jones is ready to finish strong. Comparing this season’s league record of 7-2, to last season’s 6-6, Audrey is incredibly proud of how far her team has come and aims to fight for first in the top league, Mt Hamilton, this year. Currently third in the league, 1 loss behind Pioneer and Branham, Westmont is not far from that goal. The varsity team’s new head coach, Coach Davis, has been incredibly supportive and continues to push the girls to strive for the top of the podium. The team’s next game, and senior night, is against Pioneer. Narrowingly losing to Pioneer by just 5 sets at their previous game, this upcoming game has gained more pressure and excitement. Playing on varsity alongside her co-captain Kianna Liggs since freshman year, Audreys explains “this would be a really meaningful way to end our high school volleyball careers.” Come support the girl’s volleyball team fight for first in the league at Senior Night on October 28 at 7 pm in the gym!
