A brand new bomb show has entered the villa…if you’re anything like me, you probably stay home each summer, bed-rotting, waiting for school to begin. During that, you try to find at least a new show that can keep you company as time passes. Luckily for me, there’s always that one hot show each summer. For example, last summer was The Summer I Turned Pretty; before that was Stranger Things. This summer was a bit of a twist. Instead of a fictional drama show it became a reality that had people HOOKED, including me. I specifically renewed my Peacock subscription to begin watching. I quickly binged the show to catch up and immediately became obsessed. Each night at 5:30 p.m. I would hop on to Peacock and start watching the hour-something episode glued to the TV; each episode more enticing than the last. Leah was personally my favorite … but to be fair, PPG made the show.
Serena stood on business every time and Janas’s bubbly personality, funny side comments, and fierce personality are what made me fall in love. It was quite sad to watch the last episode because I knew my daily routine of watching would come to an end. It had me in tears seeing each of them get the top three. They seriously deserved it. unlike Nicole and Kendall and Aaron and Kaylor. Anyways….what made the ending even better was finding out there was going to be a reunion and you best believe I counted the days until the reunion. After watching it all, I have to say that I expected more after countless clips and information coming out about each islander and their takes on the whole drama. It was a whole lot of nothing honestly. Half the people that were there didn’t even talk and there was no reason they should’ve gone. The only thing that was at least a bit juicy was Kaylor finally standing up for herself and clocking Aaron’s tea. There were more Pizza Hut ads than actual clips. To be fair though, Love Island did make this summer a whole lot better than scrolling endlessly on TikTok and Instagram reels
