As the weather turns colder, I find myself turning to Pinterest more and more, looking for outfit inspiration that won’t leave me vulnerable to the forces of winter. In the words of one of the greatest Christmas classics– “Baby, it’s cold outside”. And it would be such a shame if I caught pneumonia and died.
Lo and behold, a solution that’s not only warm and cozy but also cute and arguably fashionable: scarves. Combined with feeling like somewhat of a Hobbit, scarves keep you warm and comfy all winter long without sacrificing your outfit to the ritual of layering.
However, I will admit that I am a victim to a condition that may endanger these precious soft snakes– forgetfulness. Though scarves are excellent at keeping you warm outdoors, when you move indoors, the scarf quickly becomes hot, stuffy, and pleasant. Inevitably, you’ll take the scarf off, put it down on a desk somewhere, and then all of a sudden it becomes sentient and slithers away.
If I lose another scarf, I may have to permanently knot them to my neck. Despite these accessories’ tendency to slither away, I highly recommend a scarf as a daily addition to your winter wardrobe.
