Westmont’s Fastest Feet

As the season is shortly coming to an end, the Westmont cross country team celebrated their consistent hard work so far with senior night on October 19th! The Varsity boys, training harder than ever, have placed first overall on multiple of their league meets. The Varsity girls have also been dominating at second place in their league meets. Juniors Landon Cribari and Aaron Soni running at each other’s sides placed first and second in their most recent meet! Additionally, freshman Hannah Crowley, running varsity her first year of high school has been placing high despite her deceivingly small size. Hannah exclaims, “I’ve loved being on Westmonts cross country team, the coaches and community are so supportive and funny!” Many non-cross country runners often forget that cross country is in fact a team sport. Therefore, it is crucial to have a strong sense of togetherness as each runner relies on their teammates to challenge and encourage them. Hannah also adds that, “Getting to train everyday with my senior teammate, Tauren Mitchell, has helped me improve tremendously throughout the season.” The inspiring Warriors of the cross country team truly display the utmost dedication, persistence, and hard-work of all Westmont sports!
