As the fall season begins, Westmont’s field hockey players head to the field to prepare for another amazing season. Led by new head coach Marilyn Wolbert, the girls hope to qualify for CCS this year! The team consists of six returning varsity players and nine newcomers, shaping up to be a strong group full of chemistry and skill. “I’m so excited for this season, especially with the amazing group of girls we have,” states senior Kaitlin Nguyen, a starting forward of the team. The team has been preparing throughout the summer and beginning of the school year, led by captains Molly Jarret and Kate Johnson, who both bring positivity and motivation to their fellow teammates. Starting off their season strong, the Warriors are 2-0, beating Live Oak and Sobrato in their first two non-league games. They finished fifth in the Leigh Longhorn Roundup, with close losses against Leigh and Prospect as well as two strong victories against Los Altos and Cupertino.
