Olivia: France has the best cheese. The monuments in Paris are amazing and fun to visit, like the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, Notre Dame, or the Arc de Triomphe. The culture is rich with art, showcased at museums like the Louvre or Centre Pompidou. The food and pastries are delicious and world renowned. Finally, France and the French language symbolize love, because what’s not to love about this country?
Julia: While France contains undeniably beautiful cultural sites, America’s beauty stems from its breathtaking and diverse nature. From icy mountains to lush forests to sandy beaches, the US’s vast land area and relatively new development allowed for untouched, unique natural beauty. Also, while America is not necessarily known for its ancient culture or renowned culinary reputation, it’s instead known for its accomplishments on the world stage. A successful military, a boisterous economy, award-winning entertainment, and legendary sports accomplishments, the US has attained far greater heights than France in terms of its accomplishments and legacy.
