One of my favorite trends to spike in popularity this year is the re-entry of corsets into mainstream fashion. First making their appearance in fashion in the 1500s, corsets maintained their relevance in fashion through the 1920s, when women first started favoring a natural waist and clothing that allowed them a greater range of motion. Now, partly because of Netflix’s smash hit, Bridgerton, corsets are making a comeback, this time, as tops, and not as supportive shapewear. Fashion experts everywhere foresee corsets being an absolute essential this summer, so I’ve included links to all kinds of corsets, and corset-inspired tops, below in order to help you start building your collection.
