It is Friday Night Lights season! Under the management of a fresh coaching staff, the Warriors undergo a disciplined schedule to maximize their performance on the field: watching film at lunch or on the weekends to gather information on the opposing team’s habits, and preseason lifting sessions to enhance their physical strength on the turf. In the pre-season, Westmont High School’s varsity football team played three games to launch the Warriors into the regular season, looking to improve some of the detrimental flaws that held them back last year. Following an exciting comeback win against Independence High School for the Homecoming football game, the team attempts to carry that same momentum throughout the season. Leading linebacker Dash Stout plays with a chip on his shoulder from last season as he steps up to take the leadership role and energize the team. Come support Westmont’s football team in their next battle against Gunderson High School in the Bowl at 7:00 on October 23rd!
