John Ambrose is the sweet childhood crush who returns in the sequel, P.S. I Still Love You. He writes back to a letter he never expected to get, volunteers at a retirement home, and listens when Lara Jean talks. He loves books, he’s patient, and he’s kind.
Team John likes to play it safe and reliable.
The Verdict
Kavinsky wins, but by a little bit. He’s the pick for those who want humor, growth, and risk, while John Ambrose is the pick for someone who wants a steady, gentle relationship. The point is that Lara Jean’s story is about her learning to trust her own feelings instead of being safe, living her life on the edge, and Peter is the choice that allows her to do exactly that.
