With the upcoming football season approaching, Westmont’s sideline cheer team has been working tirelessly to perfect their chants, stunts, and halftime routines. Over the summer, the team attended cheer camp at Jessup University, where they brought their energy and dedicated their time to training hard, hoping to carry this dynamic energy onto the sidelines. When asked what her goals were for this season, varsity member Kate Mackin expresses her team goals, sharing she “wants the varsity team to look very cohesive, and make sure everyone is focused.” Additionally, she adds that her personal goals are to “have more crowd engagement.” Thanks to their hard work and dedication over the summer, the team is ready to show off their new skills from the sidelines. Be sure to come cheer on Westmont and the cheer squad as they kick off the 2026-2027 season!
