Mystical Magical Mystery

By Jordyn Powell

Running to Starbucks grabbing a drink

The lines are running out of the door

2016 coming back in a blink

I take one sip, my jaw is on the floor

Immediately wanting to spit it out

Coming out of the straw is a clump of blue

They only brought it back for clout

So thick and sticky I can chew

Thinking of a refreshing sweet treat

Tasting a mango sweetness

Although it was prepared so neat

It didn’t have a sense of completeness

Hopefully see you next year

Otherwise I’ll shed another tear
