When I trekked from my house to the Saratoga Library, I was met with an unfortunate surprise: an extremely crowded parking lot. I couldn’t find any parking, the doors were flooding with students, and the clock for my Business Law assignment was ticking. Panicked, I veered towards the nearest Starbucks to look for a seat to study. Yet again, a parking lot filled to the brim with students in a similar situation. As I scoured the internet for somewhere to study, I stumbled upon my last chance: Denny’s. I found out that Denny’s is open 24 hours, and, to my surprise, I was able to study for my AP Stats exam there. Coupled with your late-night stay at Denny’s is a necessary social etiquette to ensure that everyone (the workers, customers, and you) is happy. First, always ask the waiter if you can study. Next, make sure to order something every now and then so you aren’t just taking up space. Lastly, be mindful of how many people are in the restaurant and whether you’re taking up someone’s spot. Often, at later times, Denny’s is much emptier compared to other late-night cafes. The best time to go and capitalize on this opportunity is definitely past 9:00 o’clock.
