Sunday morning, iced coffee, freshly washed sheets, squeaky clean room, warm laundry, and shiny washed hair is exactly the vibe excellent Emma Dea brings when it comes to fashion. Her style is so refreshing and clean—it makes us all jealous! Emma knows exactly how to pair any accessory and can make just about anything work! She sees the potential in everything and is a walking Pinterest board right here on our campus. Below, she has answered the questions we have all been wondering.
Describe your style in 3 words
“Coastal, colorful, relaxed!”
What is/ are your fashion icons?
“There isn’t any particular person I take inspiration from—instead I always find myself looking at girls or videos in general on TikTok when looking for outfit ideas or for my next buy!”
What is a go-to item in your closet?
“I would definitely say I reach for my bracelets every day, like my gold cuffs and bangles. They really go with anything and always make an outfit look a little more put together.”
Where do you get your clothes from?
“I like to look for specific items instead of sticking to a specific brand so I shop pretty much everywhere—Brandy, Hollister, PacSun, Free People, Garage, and Urban Outfitters.”
What is a fashion trend you hate?
“Although I don’t particularly hate any fashion trend, I am not very fond of tree camo. However, I do think some people can still pull it off really well in outfits that are baggier and more streetwear style. But I personally don’t think it’s a timeless pattern as opposed to normal camo, polka dots, or stripes, which I feel like always look good!”
What is a fashion trend you love?
“I love seeing people wear fun/unique or colorful shoes because I think it’s a great way to spice up your outfit! I also love how there is more of a focus on accessories like cool belts, chunky jewelry, sunglasses, and bags/purses.”
What are some fashion tips you have?
“A tip I have is to not underestimate the power of accessorizing! Especially if your outfit is simple, it is so easy to throw on some jewelry, a belt, or a hair accessory like a headband or barrette. Accessories can really elevate and be the finishing touch to an outfit.”
