Now, at the end of the season, the Westmont Boys Soccer team has claimed the Mount Hamilton League title. They advanced through the gauntlet and won the trophy. Their perseverance through adversity and challenge shall be remembered as a lesson: never give up.
They advanced to Division 1 of CCS, and they lost a close-fought game against Hillsdale High School. The Warriors fought as hard as they could, but they eventually fell to the Hillsdale Knights. Throughout the season, their coach, Matthew Schembri, led them to persevere, and they will be back next season.
Next year, the Westmont team will be largely the same, only losing four seniors to graduation. This team looks to win CCS, and hopefully later win States next season. With the team in place, there is a high probability of success.

“I was really happy with my year and how we played. I liked how, despite us losing our first 2 games in the league, we pulled it back and went on a 9-game win streak. Our team had amazing coaching along with good chemistry. I am very excited to continue playing with this team.”
