St. Francis

When did you graduate? 

1992

What was your favorite class in high school and why? 

PE, because it was non academic

Who was your favorite teacher? 

My favorite teacher was my Spanish teacher, Mr. Hinjahosa, because he understood what it was like being an English Learner

What’s an important value a teacher or student taught you? 

That your grades do not reflect the type of person you are, Integrity and character are something that you don’t learn at school

What was your favorite extracurricular activity and why? 

Working out and playing sports. I had a lot of energy when I was younger and the extra movement helped keep me balanced.

Who were your favorite bands/artists/songs while in high school? 

Pepper, Van Halen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns and Roses – Welcome To the Jungle!!!

What was your favorite TV show or movie in high school? 

The Goonies, Top Gun

What are your favorite memories of high school? 

Playing football under the lights

What’s similar and different about high schoolers from when you were in high school to now? 

Students navigating through life and learning from their mistakes is part of life. My generation had a lot more freedom and we were forced to play outside.

What was your GPA? 

HS 2.4, College 3.8, I was able to learn what worked for me and how to study in college.

Did you ever have to go to the dean’s or principal’s office? Why? 

All the time, I made a lot of mistakes but I never made the same mistake twice. 

If you could give one piece of advice to anyone, what would it be? 

Be yourself, be kind, and be adventurous.
