You’ve likely seen her strutting through the halls with her signature maroon lip and decidedly vintage hair: meet junior Sophia Gologhan. Not only is she extremely fashionable in the halls, but you’ve likely also seen her on stage, acting as Calypso for The Odyssey. She dresses with the weather, changing her outfits for the seasons. In the spring and summer, she typically sports a halter or mesh top paired with a midi or maxi skirt. In the fall and winter, she reaches more for bell sleeved or knitted sweaters with cargo pants or dark denim jeans to stay warm. Regardless of the temperature though, she’s a chronic accessorizer—often grabbing earrings or a headpiece like a headband or bandana to top off her ‘fits. She layers a lot, from skirts over jeans to various maximalist necklaces for added flair.

Describe your style in three words:
Maximalist, unique, bodacious
Who are your fashion icons?
I don’t know their names, but @lolfashiondump and @iamrcarletto on Instagram
What is a go-to item in your closet?
My leather jackets—in all colors of the rainbow
Where do you get your clothes from?
The Depop demons. I thrift sometimes from Goodwill, but also shop at Cotton-on, Forever21, and my mom’s closet.
What is a fashion trend you love?
I don’t know if they’re really a trend, but you know those big bulky fuzzy boots? I’m obsessed with them and really really want them. Also maroon tights are so cute! Anything dark brown is my favorite kind of trend.
What is a fashion trend you hate?
Hot take: bubble skirts. I’m not a fan of bubble skirts…or overpriced jeans.
Go-to outfit?
One would be a cute pastel dress with jeans under and a jean jacket, and the other is something with cheetah or leopard print with knee-high boots and a big statement scarf.
What are some fashion tips you have?
Fashion is like photography. If you have texture, and lots of different textures, then that means you need to focus specifically on texture. Having harmonious colors is also really important. If you’re going to go all out, make sure things look intentional. Don’t just put things on and call it maximalist, ensure it actually looks good.
