Great wrestlers all have the same qualities: grit, hard work, and a longing to stand at the top of the podium. Christian Moore, a wrestler at Westmont, retains all the qualities of the greatest wrestlers like Jordan Burroughs, Mitchell Mesenbrink, and Tom Brands. Whether he’s running a double across the wrestling room or talking to people on campus, he’s an all-around great student-athlete. We interviewed him to pick his determined mind, and this is what he said:
What’s your favorite move?
“The super-duck”
How often do you practice?
“We practice six times a week”
How do you calm the nerves before a match?
“I just take deep breaths and make sure to remind myself that I am fully capable of dominating my opponent.”

What do you hope to achieve this season?
“I hope to place in CCS [Central Coast Section]”
