Girls Basketball

Starting the season off with a 2–2 record, Westmont Girls Soccer is looking to build momentum and make a statement this year. After finishing second in the BVAL Santa Teresa league last season, the team was moved up to the BVAL Mt. Hamilton league, a jump from the B league to the more competitive A league. With stronger opponents and a faster pace of play, the challenge this season is noticeably higher. Despite the tougher competition, the team remains confident and focused on growth. Senior Lily Bankosh emphasized the importance of team unity and leadership, saying the goal is “to have a strong season, grow together as a team, and help guide the freshmen as we adjust to the level of play in this new league.” With experienced seniors stepping into leadership roles and younger players gaining valuable experience, Westmont hopes that teamwork and development will help them compete at a high level throughout the season.
