What is your favorite part about this piece?
My favorite part about this piece was the foggy, blue-green mountains and the vibrant grass in the background, because they make the bear stand out even more.
What was a challenge in creating this ?
A challenge in creating this was that the bear kept on moving, so I had to work fast in order to not get any motion blur.
What medium did you use to create this artwork?
Photography.
What is the meaning behind your artwork?
The meaning behind my artwork is to express my love for wildlife while highlighting the beauty of nature.
What was the inspiration behind this piece?
My inspiration behind this piece was my love for animals and the unforgettable experience of seeing a bear in the wild for the first time.
What do you hope viewers will take away from this artwork?
I hope viewers learn to appreciate wildlife, if they don’t already!
What was the process like in creating this piece?
I had to be patient and observant while photographing the bear in its natural environment.
Who is your favorite artist and why?
My favorite artist is Joel Santos, a photojournalist who beautifully captures diverse people and landscapes. I hope to one day travel the world and capture it with the same artistry and perspective as him.
