How long do you think it took you to make this art?

It took about a month to make this artwork.

What is your favorite part about this piece?

My favorite part is the unique structure of this piece.

What was a challenge in creating this?

The most challenging part was to elevate the head from the body.

What medium did you use to create this artwork?

Clay.

What is the meaning behind your artwork?

The meaning behind this is that I dedicated my functional cookie jar to my cousin because she loves cats.

What was the inspiration behind this piece?

The main inspiration behind this artwork was my cousin.  I also looked at images of other animal-shaped cookie jars online.

What do you hope viewers will take away from this artwork?

I hope viewers can see that a functional object doesn’t have to be boring or conventional. By turning a cat into a cookie jar, I had a lot of fun creating it, and I believe it captures a sense of playfulness. It serves as a reminder that art can come from everyday sources of inspiration.

What was the process like in creating this piece?

The process was fun but also frustrating at times. Sometimes everything would go as planned but sometimes nothing would work in my favor. Despite all that I was happy when I saw the finished product.

Who is your favorite artist and why?

Salvador Dali because his artworks are so unique and complicated to understand.
