The 2025 Election, although less crucial than a presidential election, yielded many sensationalized results. Intense coverage and sponsorships on the candidates and propositions created a media focus on the outcomes. Below are the results and explanations of the issues.
Proposition 50
Where: California
What: “Authorizes Temporary Changes to Congressional District Maps in Response to Texas’ Partisan Redistricting” (lao.ca.gov). Proposition 50 aims to redistrict California to allow for more Democratic seats in the House of Representatives in the next election.
Results: 63.9% of California voters voted yes on Proposition 50, passing the measure.

Proposition MM
Where: Colorado
What: “Lower the state tax deduction limits for taxpayers earning $300,000 or more from $12,000 to $1,000 for single filers and from $16,000 to $2,000 for joint filers, increasing $95 million in taxes annually to support the Healthy School Meals for All Program” (nbcnews.com). The Healthy School Meals for All Program gives free meals at school to all Colorado children.
Results: The Proposition passed with 59.3% voting yes.
