After a tough preseason, the Westmont field hockey girls came into the regular season ready and eager to compete. Despite a challenging first week with two close games, the team fell just short against Leland and Live Oak. But this determined group didn’t let those losses define them. They quickly turned things around, defeating Silver Creek and, just two days later, taking down Sobrato—bringing their league record to 2-2. Even while juggling injuries and a shortage of subs, the girls have shown incredible resilience and the ability to push through any circumstance. Team captains Saisha Singh and Prisha Jain do an incredible job leading their team with positive attitudes and a lead-by-example approach. Their efforts to bring the team together through bondings and team dinners have helped the girls connect more both on and off the field. Fueled by drive and determination, this team is hungry for more victories. Come cheer them on at their next game on Tuesday, October 14th, at Del Mar!
