WHS Girls Tennis is back! Returning as the reigning champions of the 24-25 Mt. Hamilton Division B-league, the team is pumped up to be out on the courts for another season. Boasting an undefeated season of 10-0, they have landed in the A-league for the 25-26 season. The girls will have to battle the strongest teams in our area, like Branham and Leigh. With a competitive varsity roster of ten—four singles and three doubles teams—they present a lineup of solid tennis players who are ready to give 100%. Under head coach Paul Slaverio, who has had success coaching both the boys’ and girls’ tennis teams, the girls strive to step up to the challenge and improve as much as possible. He hopes the team will bond on and off the court, brought together by tennis. Assistant coach Michael Leung shares that the key to transforming into a stronger player is “improvement through change.” With the players’ positive mindset, the top-tier coaches, and electric team chemistry, it is sure to be a wonderful season! Support the girls at their first home game against Branham on September 23rd!
