To the left, interactive televisions display every individual Saturday Night Live rock performance ever; to the right, Elvis Presley’s original J-200 Guitar, housed within a four-inch-thick glass case to ensure the preservation of The King of Rock and Roll’s iconic guitar. In awe, I paced up and down the different music genres’ halls, gasping at every historical artefact, whether it be a mere record or Prince’s outfit at Super Bowl XLI. Hidden within the busy city of Cleveland, Ohio, stands the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Prepare yourself for the gallery walk:
David Byrne, lead singer of the Talking Heads, original shirt worn at the Rome 1980 Great Curve live performance. Talking Heads capitalized on their incorporation of synth music into catchy tunes, most notably in their 1983 hit “This Must Be The Place.”
