As a senior in high school, the constant stress of the future can feel overwhelming. From surviving the application process to deciding where to commit, sometimes I just need a way to unwind— which has unexpectedly led to at-home dance parties.
It all started one day after my sister Samantha Bradshaw got into her top choice for the SVCTE program and decided to celebrate. While we don’t have dance parties too often, the occasional dance break has become a fun way to take a break from the chaos of senior year.
Our setup is pretty simple. It includes a disco ball(which, fun fact, has been hanging in our living room since my seventeenth birthday), my sister’s color-changing sunset lamp, and a really good playlist. Some of our go-to songs include “AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM”, “fukumean”, and “Did It On’em”.
Overall, I would highly recommend investing in living room dance parties to destress, no matter how hectic the school year.
