Ceré Tea Review

By Amanda Bradshaw

Not far from Westmont, boba tea shop Ceré Tea is located just a short 5-8 min drive away. Joined by my good friend Sharick Vargas Reyes and sister Samantha Bradshaw, we set out to try their creative drinks.

Samantha:

Fruit Tornado Mango 7.8/10

  • The mango doesn’t taste ripe, but not artificial either and the cream gets chunky at bottom
  • The drink would’ve been better with real boba, but they were sold out so we got crystal
  • I want a stronger cream taste
  • Good texture, the drink was smooth but not liquidy

Sharick:

Oreo crème brûlée milk tea 7/10

  • The drink has a good texture, although I would prefer regular boba if it wasn’t sold out
  • Good sweetness but I want a more intense Oreo flavor
  • The Crème Brûlée felt more like coffee than crème flavor
  • The Oreos collected at the bottom by the time I finished my drink

Amanda:

Strawberry Matcha Einspanner 6/10

  • I wish there was more strawberry, it’s visible but once you mix the drink you can’t really taste it
  • I ordered the einspanner out of curiosity and it was good but literally just tastes like cream
  • If you like matcha it’s good but personally just isn’t for me

Overall, we enjoyed our drinks and appreciated the cute, clean aesthetic of the shop. It did take a little while to get our drinks due to mobile orders but we will definitely be returning to try more of the menu!
