The Westmont Boys Varsity Volleyball team is enjoying a strong 2025 season, holding a 17-8 overall record and 7-2 in league play (2nd in BVAL Santa Teresa). In a significant turnaround, the Warriors recently defeated Christopher High School 3-0, ending their undefeated league streak after a previous 3-0 loss to them earlier in the season. Leading the team are senior captains Ethan Bender, Max Jarrett, and Dino Besic, whose leadership has been very important in the team’s success. Under the guidance of head coach June Milanes, the team has shown consistent improvement and resilience throughout the season. With aspirations to win the remaining league games and secure a spot in the Central Coast Section (CCS) playoffs, the Warriors are focused and determined. Their next challenge is a home match against Prospect High School on April 17 at 7 p.m., where they aim to continue their winning momentum. Support from the Westmont community could provide the extra boost needed as the team pushes towards a strong finish.
