The 2025 Formula 1 season is almost here, and I have some bold predictions for how things might go down. Some of these might sound crazy—but hey, anything can happen in F1.
Driver’s World Champion: Lewis Hamilton
Okay, I know I’m probably being delusional here, but hear me out. Lewis Hamilton is now driving for Ferrari. Yup, the team that’s been chasing a championship for years just got one of the greatest drivers ever. If Ferrari’s car is strong enough, Hamilton could definitely win his eighth title. It sounds wild, but wouldn’t it be insane if he did it in red?
Runner-Up: Lando Norris
Lando had an amazing 2024 season, and McLaren’s car was seriously fast. I think he’ll have another strong season in 2025, but it’ll be tough to beat Hamilton if Ferrari stays on top. Still, Lando’s time is coming — if not this year, then soon.
Constructors’ Champion: Ferrari
I’m calling it now, Ferrari is winning the Constructors’ Championship. Their driver lineup is stacked with Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. Leclerc has been improving every year, and now with Hamilton’s experience, Ferrari finally has everything they need. If the car is fast, they’ll dominate.
Runner-Up: McLaren
McLaren has one of the best driver lineups with Norris and Oscar Piastri. They won the Constructors’ Championship last year, which was huge. I think they’ll still be really competitive, but Ferrari might just have the edge this time. Either way, it’s going to be a tight battle.
Driver Most Likely to Lose Their Seat: Jack Doohan
I hate to say it, but Jack Doohan might not make it through the season. With Franco Colapinto signed earlier this year, the pressure is definitely on. Doohan hasn’t proven himself yet, and if he doesn’t start getting results, I wouldn’t be surprised if Colapinto takes his seat.
