Bowtie Pasta

By Averi Halbert

I love pasta. I think it is delicious, incredibly efficient, and an amazing type of food. My one issue with it is the sheer amount of choices I have to make when I walk down that one aisle in Safeway. Everywhere I look there’s a new type, of course, you have the basic spaghetti, but you also have lasagna, fusilli, orecchiette, rigatoni, orzo, macaroni… you get the point. Yes, of course, they all have their specific meals to use those random shapes, but throughout my countless years of eating pasta, I have found the perfect one. Farfalle. Otherwise known as the Bowtie pasta this shape is exquisitely perfect. Not only does it go with all types of sauces, but it is big enough to easily grab — fumbling around with it like you do with normal spaghetti. Nor do you have a bad sauce ratio to pasta like you would with lasagna. The bowtie pasta is dapper, always dressed to the nines and looking exquisitely delicious (particularly after school). The bowtie pasta, without a doubt, is the best type of pasta out there.
