Often seen getting in touches at the Westmont Bowl, senior Lazar Minic is a cornerstone of Westmont High School’s soccer team. As the team’s starting center-back, Lazar is the team’s defensive anchor, shutting down opponents with ease. Since earning a varsity spot as a sophomore, he has consistently dominated the field. That breakout season saw him contribute significantly to Westmont’s league champion title in the Santa Teresa West Division. Last year, his efforts helped secure the top seed in the CCS playoffs. Now, in his final season, Lazar is determined to lead his team to a CCS championship victory.

When did you start playing soccer?
I started playing soccer when I was 5 years old.
What’s your favorite thing about playing soccer?
My favorite thing about playing soccer is the competition and friends I get to play with.
What has been your most memorable experience with soccer?
My most memorable experience in soccer was my sophomore year when I won our league and got to the finals in CCS.

No.
What are you excited about this season?
Playing with my friends for the last time in school.

No, not yet.

I don’t know, probably pizza.

My favorite class right now is Digital Photography.
