Brooke Schofield

Another day, another racist influencer exposed. This time, it was Brooke Schofield whose past came back to haunt her. Not long ago, though she was a hero to all women, her mini-series “Who the F**k did I Marry?” came to light after she exposed her ex-boyfriend Clinton Cane. People were fascinated by her. Her unbothered nature wooed the people over.

Brooke Schofield is a TikTok influencer; alongside Tana Mongeau, they co-hosted a podcast called “Canceled.” It skyrocketed after the Clinton Cane episode where she exposed him—the video alone became one of her most-watched YouTube video syet. Her success proliferated, and she even obtained a T-Mobile sponsorship. Until someone posted her old tweets…

Her old tweets from 2012–2016 resurfaced, exposing her racist and homophobic past which includes supporting Donald Trump and George Zimmerman, who killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

Schofield wrote, “Guarantee, if Zimmerman shot a white guy, this wouldn’t even be a story.” This was very unfortunate to see for many of her fans. Another tweet resurfaced, “Make America Great Again,” which she tweeted right after the 2020 election. After receiving backlash a few days later, she finally responded.

She released a 3-minute video summarizing her childhood and how her parents were addicts and were raised by her conservative grandparents. She comments on how her behavior was disgusting and she didn’t have the glory to form her own opinion. “Whatever I heard, I passed on.” She claims she was too young and says she has grown initially from that era of her life, ending with many empty apologies.

Many people were unhappy about her response; stating “She was just young.” Many believe she was old enough to know she wasn’t a toddler; she was a teenager and was mature enough to understand.

Of course, she posted a second apology because she couldn’t bear all the hate. In it, she admitted that she had missed her mark and was old enough to know better. She understands that some will never forgive her, but she is educated and now knows better.

“Canceled” co-host Tana is just as bad. She also dabbled in cancel culture before it was even a thing, getting into many scandals like her infamous Tana Con. She posted an eight-minute video on their podcast page where she says, “I do condemn her for her behavior; it is disgusting and horrifying. She has never shown signs of racist and homophobic behavior in the many years of friendship we have had.” She adds that they have both had it rough and wishes she could grow from this, just like she did.

Many of her fans were very sad to see this behavior displayed by her; she lost several fans and will never look the same again. Her behavior was disgusting, and even if it was years ago, she was still old enough to know.
