As avid fall lovers, as soon as the fall Trader Joe’s snacks were released, we knew we had to run to purchase. We were so excited that we went a week before they actually came out, eager to taste pumpkin in the 100 degree weather. Although there were many options, we settled on 6 of the most appealing options. Read below to hear the descriptions and our recommendations!
- Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese: The butternut squash mac and cheese is a delectable dish consisting of al-dente pasta drenched in mouth watering sauce. A staple food for any student craving a quick microwave meal, this dish practically screams fall. As Sadie York remarked, “I would love to cozy up with this.” The butternut squash flavor is perfectly accentuated by the spice mix.

Sadie’s rating: 8/10 – will be purchased again.
- Honey Crisp Apple Granola: As you walk the aisles of Trader Joe’s, the aesthetic packaging of this granola is too pretty not to buy. A combination of granola and dried apple crisps, this would be the perfect fall breakfast food or ice cream topper. Anyone who loves apple and granola will fall for this treat. Personally, apple is neither of our favorite flavors, so we rate this as an average fall snack.

- Pumpkin Brioche Bread: The beautiful epitome of fall, this bread smells, tastes and radiates joy. Airy and light, the layer of cinnamon takes a classic spin on a cinnamon roll. Whether topped with a layer of butter or the maple syrup butter, this brioche is so perfect.
Sophia’s rating: 10/10 – will obviously purchase again.
Sadie’s rating: 7/10 – will buy again.
- Maple Butter: Marketed with misleading packaging, do not be thrown off by the label that claims this is “butter.” A somehow solid form of maple syrup, this butter is acceptable in very small quantities. Only buy this product if you are an avid maple syrup fanatic.
Sophia’s rating: 1/10 – will never buy again.
Sadie’s rating: 2/10 – won’t buy again.
- Maple Leaf Cookies: A perfect fall treat, the maple leaf cookies have a faint scent of maple without being too overpowering. With an adorable design, this treat is an absolute fall staple.
Sophia’s rating: 9/10 – will buy again.
Sadie’s rating: 7/10 – won’t buy again.
- Green Apple Mochi – Unlike the other delicious mochi options Trader Joe’s provides, the green apple mochi does not measure up. An overpowering amount of apple flavoring, can only be compared to a jolly rancher. We could not handle more than one bite of this artificial treat.
Sophia’s rating: 0/10 – will not ever purchase again.
Sadie’s rating: 1/10 – will not ever purchase again.
