To preface this article, we want to address the fact that neither of us have any expertise with fire and that our ratings are not related to heat or any other scientific terms of how fire works. We base our opinions solely on the vibes of color and its looks. Continuing, the following are our fairly reasonable rankings of fire colors as well as our overall judgment on their looks and personalities.
Red – 8.5
Everyone associates fire with red, orange, and yellow, making a red flame nothing special. It’s as basic as it gets but nevertheless, a solid color and you could watch it burn for quite a while. It’s not too boring for the average folk who spend their spare time watching stuff burn. Red does have one advantage though, it is better than orange, a topic we will delve further into at a later point.
Yellow – 7
Yet another classic fire color, however due to the naturally repulsive emotions instilled in many simply by the thought of the color yellow due to its usual state of neon, it automatically falls to the lower side of the spectrum. My main issue with this color is simply that it is not iconic. It never made a name for itself, rather it rides off the coattails of others. Not a very good look…
Orange – 8
The last of the three “iconic” fire colors, orange falls in the middle of the three. While one could argue that the appearance of an orange flame is prettier than red, I prefer to judge the vibes, and to me, orange is very similar to red in many ways. They both act the same way, both trying to be the bosses of others. However, orange has one glaring shortcoming: it just couldn’t commit. At least, not like red did.
Blue – 9
Blue is the epitome of a rare flame color that is also pretty. However, due to this, it’s like a pretty pick-me that tries too hard. Trying too hard to be seen and stand out from the other colors in a way that makes it almost blend back in. However, it is very satisfying and fun to watch, which helps redeem its reputation quite a bit.
Green – 9.5
Green is a unicorn but in a flame form if that makes any sense. It’s super rare, which in and of itself is not an issue except that it knows it’s rare. And it’s got the personality to match. The sass and drama that accompanies the vibes green has can be a bit much, especially when you don’t have the energy for it. Because it is so similar to a unicorn, it gives me the urge to pet it (no I wouldn’t actually (unless it was like perfect (but still no))). Overall, the green flame is a beautiful color that gives off half-welcoming vibes but also “I hate you” vibes at the same time. Not only is it similar to a unicorn, but it’s just like when the weekly Crumbl cookie lineup has your favorite cookie one week but not the next.
Purple – 10 out of 10
Gorgeous. Stunning. Perfect. A purple flame has the perfect amount of rareness. When you get to see it, it immediately sparks joy, making you happy because it is so special. But at the same time, it’s not as rare as green which, if you are anything like me, if someone else gets to see it and I don’t, I won’t be a happy camper. It gives off the same vibes as seeing a 5 on an AP test which makes whatever kind of day you were having automatically amazing.
