A day on Venus is longer than a year on Venus. It takes Venus about 243 Earth days to rotate once, but only about 225 Earth days to orbit the Sun.

Octopi have three hearts and blue blood. Two hearts pump blood to the gills, while the third pumps it to the rest of the body.

Cleopatra lived closer in time to the moon landing than to the construction of the Great Pyramid of Giza. The pyramid was built around 2580–2560 BCE, while Cleopatra lived around 30 BCE.

Honey never spoils. Archaeologists have found pots of honey in ancient Egyptian tombs that are over 3,000 years old and still perfectly edible.

There are about 7,000 languages spoken in the world today, but about 90% of them are spoken by fewer than 100,000 people each.
