Ranking Fruit

By Sinchana Holla

Through eating fruit, your body receives the necessary nutrients that it needs to stay healthy. Fruits are rich in vitamins, fiber, antioxidants, and hydration. Often, people forget to include these vital nutrients in their meals. Hence, here are my rankings of fruit based on taste, convenience, and accessibility to make it easier to implement fruit into your diet.

  1. Mangos

Taste: 10/10

The juicy tropical fruit provides an immediate hydration boost. The tangy sweet taste goes well with any food, forbidding any other fruit from taking the top spot in flavor.

Convenience: 7/10

The steps to devour this fruit include peeling, cutting, and taking out the seed. Some may that is one step too many, however, the ultimate reward one gets from following these steps– the taste of the mango–proves immaculate. An added perk of eating mangoes is the entertainment an individual can receive from attempting to eat all the fruit around the seed so that it looks like a hairless cat.

Accessibility: 7/10

Yeah, it is pretty simple to drive to the grocery store and buy a mango. However, most of the mango is imported and they taste best when eaten during the right season. Although it is an easy fruit to obtain, the taste will drastically vary depending on when and where you buy it.

  1. Strawberries

Taste: 10/10

Strawberries burst with a juicy and refreshing flavor. Each bite offers a delicious mix of tangy and tart notes, leaving you craving for more. Enjoyed fresh or in desserts, strawberries provide a wonderful experience with a burst of goodness to any dish.

Convenience: 10/10

The steps to devour this fruit include washing and eating. The simplicity cannot get any better. The minute you crave this delightful fruit, you can quench that desire in one step.

Accessibility: 10/10

Not only can you buy it from your local supermarket, you can also grow this berry in your own garden. Although a seasonal fruit, the availability of growing your own produce proves superior to any other fruit.

  1. Bananas

Taste: 8/10

Hear me out. Perfect, yellow, just ripe bananas. Nothing can get better than eating the perfect banana. However, the minute a brown spot plagues the fruit, it ruins the once-immaculate taste. Give bananas a chance and find yourself a perfect yellow banana.

Convenience: 10/10

Probably the easiest fruit to devour. You can skip the washing part and go straight to the peeling and eating of the banana. Although a controversial topic on how to peel the banana, start from the bottom of the fruit for an easy peel.

Accessibility: 9/10

Every grocery store has an abundance of yellow bunches, usually in top-notch condition. Find the most perfect bunch, and purchase it immediately. Additionally, if you are feeling ambitious, try growing a banana tree in your backyard.

Now that you have been enlightened with the top three fruits that are most tasty, convenient, and accessible, go to your local grocery store and buy these fruits as soon as possible. Do not stop eating these fruits to become the most rich person ever. That is, rich in nutrients, fiber, and hydration.
