“To truly defeat an opponent first you must defeat yourself,” wisely states Hasan Siddiqi, one of Westmont’s boys tennis captains. Hasan, alongside Kai Wang, leads the team as the tennis season takes off. After achieving a league title in 2020, the Warriors have high hopes of earning another. All 13 members, especially the 6 returning varsity players, hope to return to the playoffs following a successful season last year. Honorable mentality and impressive endurance led the boys’ tennis team to maintain a 70% win rate last season, a statistic they hope to improve through extra focus on communication and technical skills. On March 19, the team takes to the courts, so show some Westmont pride and support boys’ tennis at their upcoming match!
