This past year, we’ve seen thousands of iconic duos gracing the halls of Westmont. Some notable pairs are Gavin Bowyer and Kevin Olson, Lily Bourne and Madeline Crowley, and of course, Marina Halbert and Mika Shahar. But without a doubt, this year’s Wally for best friendship goes to the underdogs of Westmont, what some would call the greatest friendship on Westmont’s campus. That’s right, I’m talking about the powerhouse freshmen duo of Maya “Sparkles” Bourne and Max “The Man” Manzer.
Whether it be in room 46, where the two are the masterminds behind some of the biggest rallies at Westmont, or working together to clean a pig pen together on the farm, Max and Maya can be seen traversing across campus. The two of them make hard work look easy, and despite just meeting over the summer, in ASB core camp, they are hands down the closest friends on campus.
This newly minted team of two spends countless hours, both in and out of school together, watching movies at the nearby theater, traversing through bookstores, or working on the script for the upcoming BOTC rally. Anyone reading this should keep an eye out for the two of them, as big things happen around this duo.
