Ingredients:
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter (browned)
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups chocolate chips
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Put butter into a saucepan and let boil on medium heat. Once there is a nutty aroma and the butter has a brown color, take off heat and set aside to cool slightly. Be careful the butter doesn’t burn!
- Pour the granulated and brown sugar into a separate bowl, and stir in the browned butter. Add in the vanilla and eggs and stir completely.
- Pour the dry ingredients in with the butter mixture and fully combine until you have a smooth dough. The dough may not hold shape because of the warm butter which is ok!
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop the dough into small balls and place on a baking sheet line with parchment paper.
- Put in the oven and bake for 9-11 minutes. Adjust the time based on the size of the cookies.
- Enjoy!
