By Gavin Bowyer
A wonder, a wonder
My name is a stumper
Be careful, tread lightly
You may just blunder
My home my heart
A so special part
My parents devised it
They are so smart
Many inquire
Is it so strange?
To be one whole person
With two different names
I do not whine
Nor cower in fright
Despite my misfortune
A heavy plight
Beware this
Do not misconstrue
A misfortune perhaps
But my love is true
My past,
My future,
All of me,
Lovingly embodied
In words, just three
So here I live
3 different names
Responding to any
No need for games
Send for Peter
My name, unheard
Call me Gavin
My greeting, at first
Or even Bowyer
My history, affirmed
No matter what
My attention will be earned
