All About

By Owen Andersen

Where rabbits run

And lily pads float

Mellow is the meadows

Where I ponder you, all about

My thoughts twist and turn

Fearful of their spurn

Forbidden is the fruit

Yet for you, I grow fonder, all about

Love like fire—

To warm or to burn?

Daunting is the dream

I wish a conder could guide you closer to me, and all about

Longing in the love

Noosing in the need

Standing on a stool

I wish you’d sonder me

And ponder me the way I you: all about.
